Pet Drinking Fountain Keeps Water Fresh and Filtered

Posted in Dishes & feeders at 9:43 pm by Pet Luxury

Dog Drinking FountainJudging by the number of dogs I see drinking out of the spigot (instead of the bowl underneath) at the dog park, I’m guessing canines prefer their water to flow fresh from the source. If that’s the case for your dog or cat, then this pet drinking fountain will probably be a hit.

The PetMate Deluxe Fresh Flow Pet Fountain is an “ultra-quiet purifying pet fountain for multiple cat households or small dogs, [which] provides naturally cool and oxygenated water”

It even has built in filters to improve taste and reduce odors. It looks like you can get the fountains in different sizes and colors.

Prices start around $30 at Amazon:

A Water Bottle You and Your Dog Can Share

Posted in Dishes & feeders at 8:11 pm by Pet Luxury

doggy water bottleIf you take your dog hiking, running, or (like me) inline skating in good weather, you need to take water for your pooch too. And of course you must keep yourself hydrated as well. Normally this would mean taking two water bottles/bowls along (or a bottle for yourself and a collapsible bowl for Fido), but I saw this handy solution the last time I was at REI and I might just have to go back to get one.

The Cool Pooch Water Bottle has a sipping straw for you and a built-in water dish for your dogs. The two separate drinking areas means no nasty backsplash (as much as I love my dog, doggy slobber is still the ick), and now you can both stay hydrated on the trail.

“Brake-fast” Dog Bowl Slows Down Eating

Posted in Dishes & feeders at 12:35 pm by Pet Luxury

Dog Dish slows down eating speedDoes your dog eat too quickly? Are you worried about gas and bloating that can be caused when dogs wolf down their food at lightning speed? Then here’s a dish to slow your Fido down:

The Brake-fast dog bowl from Katoby has a special design that will force your dog to eat more slowly. “The three prong design creates obstacles that keeps your dog from engulfing his whole meal in seconds by reducing the amount of food he can grab at one time. This lessens the incidence of swallowed air resulting in less gas and discomfort for your dog and could even save his life!”

The dog bowl itself is dishwasher safe and has a no-tip shape. It’s available in a 5-cup size and works with kibble or canned food.
