Judging by the number of dogs I see drinking out of the spigot (instead of the bowl underneath) at the dog park, I’m guessing canines prefer their water to flow fresh from the source. If that’s the case for your dog or cat, then this pet drinking fountain will probably be a hit.

If you’ve got outdoor cats, you may want to put bells on their collars to keep them from sneaking up on and killing the neighborhood birds. (It’s just not fun plucking little bird corpses out of the yard.) When the birds hear the bell ringing, they’ll take off, warned that a furry predator is approaching.

Humans have food allergies (I’m supposed to avoid dairy and gluten myself), and pets can have food allergies too. Grains, especially, can be problematic since they’re not something dogs would eat in nature. If your furry friends have skin problems, dull coat, or stools that aren’t properly formed, it may be a food allergy!

I have a dog and grew up with cats and dogs, so I tend to hunt down and blog about the fun cat- and dog-related products out there, but I know there are other types of pet owners who might stop by, so I’ll try to work in a few items for other types of pets. And today it’s turtles!

If you have pets (or kids) you’ve probably experienced the dubious joy of purchasing a fancy, expensive toy and watching them have a great time playing with… the box.
Sometimes the simple toys are the best. I don’t know what your dog likes, but my guy is just as happy with a stick I pick up off the ground. He’ll fetch it from the water but his favorite game is playing keep away with it. That means “The Stick” would probably be a hit with him.

If you’ve succeeded in crate training your dog, you may actually be able to get him or her to sleep in a crate next to your bed instead of on your bed (and under the covers with the head on the pillow…). The downside is that bedrooms usually aren’t that big, and it can get crowded quickly if you’ve got a dog crate in there as well as a bed, bedside tables, dressers, etc.
The solution?
Consider combining furniture pieces. For inspiration, check out this dog crate from Crate Haven: it doubles as a dog bed and a perfectly functional bedside table.
