Go Latin with Pet Names
The number of web sites out there devoted to naming dogs, babies, pet rocks, etc. shows that I’m not the only one who ponders deeply on finding the perfect name for a new pet. Oh, sure, you can go with an old stand-by, but if you’re like me, you prefer something unique. Ideally, a pet name should reflect the animal’s personality. If you’d like to add an element of sophistication, try using a latin word for a name.
For example, Fortis means strong. Miles means soldier. Callidus means clever. And Dux means commander (perfect for a headstrong Rottweiler, eh?).
